Samuel LaRay “King General” is a internationally known Inspirational Recording Artist, Radio Talk Show Host, Event Host, and Author from St. Louis Missouri who has traveled to cities and states in America such as Oregon, New York, Georgia, California, Virgina, Texas, Bradenton/Tampa/Orlando Florida, and have reached hundreds of thousands of families and Business Owners through Inspirational Music, Events, Print Publications and Radio Broadcasting also worldwide digitally via social media.
Samuel fell in love with his passion for writing and making music at an early age, recording his first song live at the age of 16. Samuel, like many young men from his generation grew up without his father around and was influenced by the street life and gangster rap music. At the age of 18 Samuel converted to his Christian faith and changed his once gangster rap lyrics to inspirations and spiritual songs. A year later he left his hometown and began to travel to pursue his passion to reach young people with his message of inspiring positive and sound change in the community. He produced and Published 6 studio albums and sold over 100k+ independently in over 9 different cities and states. While Samuel lived in Tampa Florida, where his son Zion was born, he interned in traditional FM Gospel hip hop radio and began hosting networking events for local artist and musicians with his first Event being a community concert to help a 9 year old boy find a bone marrow donor.
After moving to Orlando, he started his own radio talk show on a local am and FM Gospel radio station discussing biblical topics and airing his inspirational Music to tens of thousands weekly. In 2016 Samuel Incorporated his radio show “The King General Show” into a not for profit organization KING GENERAL INC. The vision for King General Inc was originally to start youth programs in Central Florida that helped inner city kids get jobs and create their own entrepreneurial opportunities. Frustrated with the many obstacles of finding the funding for different programs and curriculums that he created, Samuel came up with an idea to publish a FREE Community Newspaper “The King General Times” to provide monthly advertising to over 5,000 homes in 5 different neighborhoods of Orlando Florida, providing SPONSORSHIP and advertising for youth programs to recruit teenagers monthly to the programs to sign up for entrepreneurship opportunities and training. These programs being Stop the Violence and Embrace, Florida Youth Club of America, and Youth Empowerment Project, (Who Now are the founding partners of ALPHA UNITED NETWORK & LOVELLEE ACADEMY YOUTH RECRUIT PROGRAM.
Afterwards, In 2019 Samuel Published BBDCF which is a online Business Directory for business owners in Central Florida designed for the purpose of gaining community support online for small businesses while providing different networking for these business owners through event, radio, and social media platforms.
After the affects of Covid-19, Samuel has been working to rebuild what he started so that he can reach the youth through Inspirational Music and radio with the financial sponsorships of businesses and organizations who agree with His Vision and Mission for Family and Community. And after finding out about his Teenage daughter in 2020, he has pushed even harder to reach the youth, starting with his own children, with the message of positivity, faith, hard work, and entrepreneurship.
With his daughter and son loving basketball and sports, him, Zion Lovell, and Demesha Lee, who is now playing high school basketball and is looking to run track by her senior year, have created their first family brands for Lovellee Publishing Productions Incorporated. “ZíDe” which is a sports brand thought of by Zion in dedication of him and his sisters first name, along with his sister’s brand thought of by Samuel and her mother, “Spartan Lee” in honor of the name of her first high school basketball team are the first brands to head line THE LOVELLEE FAMILY BRANDS.
Along with their sports brands, Samuel came up with a vision for his Brand as a Father, Rapper, and Entrepreneur and called it “BRAND DAD” in honor of his vision for Father's to teach ownership and creativity to their children to build generational wealth for them and their grandchildren after them.
BRAND DAD is a Brand Campaign to encourage Father’s, mother’s, and children everywhere to work hard to create family memories, wealth, and legacy, which is the paramount and cornerstone of the community, especially in business ownership.
